Demand: Configure, administer, and monitor an EC2 and RDS instance in Amazon AWS for a critical application.
Implantation: Linux Debian was used as the operating system of the EC2 instance and Mysql Server in the RDS instance.
As high availability was a requirement we chose to use the application server and database in separate instance thus avoiding degradation of services.
24x7 monitoring by a Zabbix network manager that informs us about performance degradation and unavailability of services and resources.
A strong link was established with the company that develops the application so that any substantial change when implemented will be informed to be on standby in case of any kind of anomaly, thus avoiding the unavailability of the system.
Amazon AWS account management is actively managed to avoid unnecessary cost increases.
Conclusion: The SLA served is 98.2% and has been maintained since the approval of the project.
